I have always tried to read a lot. I have always had lots of books. Now I own my own business, an online book retailer. We get loads of books in every day and I now keep all the military ones and add them to my collection.
I keep changing the categories on the blog because I was covering a wide range of subjects within military history and I wasn’t sure the best way to sort them. For this reason, I have now removed the categories. The best way to find if I have covered something that interests you is to use the search box. This will bring up the search terms if used in the title or in the main body of the post so there should be something that you might have an interest in.
Personally, I like reading history but focusing on the smaller stories rather the overall battles. The events of a single hour compared to the grand scheme of the battle. The personal stories of the soldiers who have been through so much over the course of history, the fighting, the saving lives, the taking of lives, the heartbreak and the pain that war so often brings.
But also I want to share the stories I find that might make you laugh, smile and realise that although war is hell, some good things do happen considering the circumstances. Most the posts will be sharing small parts of the books that I find time to read. If you have any book suggestions then send them my way. There’s a good chance I may already have it but it could be buried in my to read pile.
So for now, find the search box and enter a name, a unit, a battle, a war, a country or whatever might pique your interest.
